Boston Manor’s second album is titled “Welcome to the Neighbourhood”. However, you don’t necessarily feel immediately welcome in the fictionalized version of their hometown Blackpool. Boston Manor paint a picture of drug addiction, poverty, boarded up shops and a numb society which is too lazy and distracted to do anything about it. As negative as the songs may sound; the five-piece pop punk band wants to wake people up rather than give up hope and paint the future black. Not all songs are written yet and so isn’t the end of history.
