The Metalchurch is located near the entrance to the Innfield and is a reformed church for the metal scene. A church by metalheads for metalheads.
The outside of the tent chapel is decorated with a beer can cross. Candles (1) can be lit inside and there is a book for written prayers, greetings and drawings. The chapel is supervised by a person from Metalchurch in a black monk's robe, who will say a ‘Blessing to go!’ for you on request, an individual blessing for you as a couple or as a group. After the end of the headliner concerts, the bells will ring for the ‘Midnight Metal Mediation’, a short service lasting around a quarter of an hour with the metal priest at the end of the day at 1.30 a.m.
The metal-furnished Room of Silence is ecumenically open to all who are looking for a place to gather and find inner peace.
